Musa siamensis 'Thai Gold'

 

Siamese Banana, Ornamental Banana, Thai Gold Banana

 

Originated to Thailand and belonging to the section Rhodochlamys, not described in the science yet, the Siamese banana belongs to the recent discovers of the past years, it’s suitable to use as cut flower because oft he beautiful erect pale yellow inflorescence, generally it similars to Musa laterita very much and also reachs one similar size. Only since past time also available in Central Europe. One good pot plant in colder countries like Germay, also for the wintergarden or greenhouse suitable. It could also be used in Brazil as ornamental plant in the future.

 

Our plants were germinated by Helton Josué of Colecionando Frutas. They did not thrive in sandy soil well, therefore they were transplanted into the special garden at the pond where they do thrive much better.
