Evergreen tropical shrub with white fragant blossoms and glossy darkgreen leaves from the genus  Rubiaceae. It is orginated from Southern China, Taiwan, Vietnam and Southern Japan, needs humid climate with warm days and cool nights, however it does thrive in our front garden well. Our has filled blossoms, which are at first white and fading to yellow, it are very fragant, emit one jasmin-like fragance. We have overtaken it from the former owner.

In Germany it is cultivated as an indoor plant.
