Cedrela fissilis (Brazilian Cedar)

A tropical about 100 feet tall deciduous tree from the genus Cedrela and from the family Meliaceae with pinnate leaves, native of Costa Rica to Argentina, also in Brazil. It is grown as timber tree for wood, which is resistant against termites. Unlike Cedrela sinensis it is not hardy in Germany.

At first I kept it for Juglans neotropica, but Helton told me, it is not Juglans neotropica but one Cedrela fissilis, although the shoots and buds are similar to the of Juglans regia and neotropica. Best thanks to him for the identifity of my tree.
