Citrus aurantifolia (Lime)

Small tree or large shrub of 17 to 20 feet (5 to 6 m) of height from the genus Citrus of the family Rutaceae. The fruits are green to yellow,  3 to 6 cm in diameter, the tree is grown in the tropics, mainly in Brazil. They are sour like lemon, are not suitable for the pure taste, are mainly used for mixed drinks such as Caipirinha. Initially, we have 2 older larger trees, one of the two had to be abandoned because of wood worms and was no longer to save, 2 new specimens were planted in 2008.
